So everyone knows about a magical sea kingdom known as the Great Barrier Reef, it attracts a lot of tourists around the world. The reef is home to many marine species from colorful fish such as clown fish, parrot fish etc. Years have gone by and scientist have been noticing the coral are starting loose their colors as the waters are getting warmer. What happens in the bleaching process, both the algae and coral depend on each other for survival - due to the temperatures rising, when the coral is stressed the algae will leave the coral - coral is left vulnerable and bleached without the algae.
What can we do stop the temperatures rising in the oceans?
Where will marine life that live off coral go to?
How will this be a impact on us?

To stop this I feel that we should stop or reduce how much carbon we use

DeleteReduce carbon -Jordyne
ReplyDeleteI think that Marine Life will try to go out to shallow, rocky areas but will never get to live in coral again.

There will be a lack of fish due to the intoxication of the coral.

We need to use less carbon dioxide. -Jeffrey
ReplyDeleteThe fish that lived at coral have to leave because that coral dead you cant live there Brando Mckinley
ReplyDeleteThe impact this has on us is that the fish that eat the coral would get sick, then if we eat the fish we will get sick. ~Gray Daitch
ReplyDeleteHopefully we do not kill off all of the fish due to the coral being dead. This will affect a variety of different things including humans who eat fish, bigger fish, and many other examples.

As the waters get warmer the coral gets bleached and the fish lose there habitat ~ Willie
ReplyDeletewe need to avoid using so many services that result in carbon being put off into the air if it is effecting something so distant as the color of coral. - caroline
ReplyDeleteas water gets warmer the corals are dying as they are very sensitive living creatures - jo
ReplyDeleteWe need to somehow manage that
