Summary, The west lake landfill has had lots of toxic waste for many years.The EPA has claimed that they were going to clean up the landfill but still haven't. Now they are saying that they will only clean up 70% of the toxic waste but ppl aren’t very happy with that percentage.They want to know why all of the toxic waste is not going to be cleaned up.








Did you think ppl knew there was a toxic waste near the west lake before they moved there?


Would you be nervous if you lived near the toxic waste?


Why has it taken so long for the government to clean up the toxic waste?

    I think that the budget isn't big enough to clean up all of the waste so that might be why they aren't cleaning all of it up

    I would be worried if I lived near the toxic waste because the problem is worsening and it can cause major health issues.

    I think they should find a way to move the waste into a non occupied area so it doesn’t have an effect on so many people -Caroline E

      I think that is a good idea. I don't know how that would be possible because of the cost cost of the move.

    I believe that people who choose to move to the west lake most likely don't know about the pollution otherwise they would probably choose to live somewhere else. -Jeffrey

    I would be worried because that landfill could release toxic gases that could cause some disease.

    why cant they clean up all of it? wouldn't it be easier to clean up all rather then none plus it would just easily get out of control again if they don't clean it all up -jo
