The number of wildfires caused by cigarettes has dropped 90% since 1980. In 2004 states started requiring cigarettes to be self-extinguishing.
Don't smoke in the woods or set any fires unless your camping then make sure you put out the fire.
Instead of smoking in the woods or smoking at all you could vape even though both are bad for you vapes are slightly better for you and it's better than being the reason a wildfire started.
Parks or camping sites should have signs that tells you how to put out a fire if they don’t.
You could get a permit to camp in certain area and you’ll learn how to put out certain fire.
Do you know how to out out a camp/small fire?
Do you know how to build a safe fire?
Would consider stop smoking and start vaping?
ReplyDeleteThe amount of cigarette fires has gone down do to cigarettes. Now there are self extinguishing cigarettes that go out right away
I think wildfires are a big problem but a lot of people don't realize how easily they can be started. We should monitor camping sites more strictly especially in places like California.

ReplyDeleteI think smoking is horrible and if people did it less than there would be a decrease in wildfires. I would hope people would just quit and not switch to vaping but if it helps them then thats good:)

ReplyDeleteI would do neither smoking nor vaping, but vaping would be better and would not start a fire. A safe campfire has a lot of dirt around it and rock too, which keeps it from spreading to the woods. You should also have a bucket of water nearby and not leave the fire unattended. - Jeffrey
