This house plant can clean indoor air

Almost every household is contaminated with harmful chemicals most frequently found in items such as cleaning supplies, paint, or glue. Eliminating these chemicals from the air can be difficult and expensive, but a scientist by the name of Stuart Strand has discovered that by adding a pollution-busting gene to a houseplant called pathos ivy actually removes pollutants from the air. Although the levels of the chemicals may be low, breathing them in over years and years may cause cancer. When compared with other plants, the chemicals were reduced by 75%. There is still being tests done to see if these plants can be used in real-world homes, so their goal is to be in stores in the next few years.
