I believe that tourism is affected because people don't want to go somewhere that the land is not stable.

I think it would be unsafe to travel to a place where the ground could sink abruptly at any moment. Rome is a modern city with the ancient city below it, so sometimes the land on top can shift.-Jeffrey
ReplyDeletePeople won't want to come and visit a place where it's likely they can fall or drive into a sink hole. Seems very dangerous to want to go. ~Gray Daitch
ReplyDeleteEither they will fill the sinkholes or simply rebuild the ancient city. It's a city Italy can't afford to lose.
